It is the desire, and direction of Independent Human Services to provide individual quality services to support the member's specific needs and desires, in which to incorporate developmental training and habilitation assistance, teaching essential daily living skills and promoting member independence, encouraging a Self-reliant, Responsible, self-ordered lifestyle within the family and community. Independent Human Services intends to use every possible service and support availablet o ensure as an efficient program as possible, keeping in mind, and always promoting the members rights, well-being and safety first.
Using the member's person-centered plan and active participation as a guide, members and families are offered the opportunity for learning and optimizing their potential for activities of daily living, socialization, community integration, self-advocacy, and enjoyment of life by choice and decision-making in a supportive, normalized environment, or by in-home assistance. By encouraging, strengthening, and expanding skills and providing necessary assistance in these areas, the member and family will increase life satisfaction, health, welfare, self-determination, self-direction, and overall attempts to meet the needs and desires of the consumer in the community, based on the true sense of inclusion. All services and support will be person centered.
To focus on quality services for individuals served. In order to maintain a manageable sized group of members who are committed to receiving services that maintain quality and provides appropriate needs and wants.
To provide quality in all 19 counties of the catchment area. To ensure that all services provided are consumer driven and promote quality care in order to gain popularity with a positive reputation. Implement programs that are needed in the community to improve quality care, and choices afforded to members and families.
